Nominations for the Iowa Biotech Leader Award will be taken on this page January 18 - February 5, 2021. The awardee is announced and presented during IBSC on Wednesday, March 3. Ideal candidates for this award include individuals who demonstrate the following traits and commitment to advancing Iowa’s biotech industry:
 

LEADERSHIP		INNOVATION		ADVOCACY
The individual has a leading role in their organization and within the industry.		The individual has consistently demonstrated an ability to bring innovative biotechnology products and services to the marketplace.		The individual works effectively with other business and public policy leaders to promote and advance the biotech industry in Iowa.

2020: Dr. Todd Krone, Co-Founder and CEO of PowerPollen
2019: Dr. Michael Abramoff, CEO & Founder of IDx
2018: Robert G. Riley Jr., Owner of Corn Oil One
2017: Dr. John Swart, CEO & President of Exemplar Genetics

The Iowa Biotech Leader Award recipient will be determined by a committee of individuals with roles in Iowa’s biotechnology industry. Staff members from IowaBio and the award sponsor will provide administrative guidance to the Committee in their selection process.
