Life Science Asset Databases
In 2015, IowaBio completed two asset mapping projects to help others discover the biotech talent located in Iowa and the Midwest. See below for additional information on the two databases - one encompassing Iowa and one compiled between four states in the Midwest.
Iowa Ag/Bioscience Asset Portal
The Iowa Ag/Bioscience Asset Portal is a comprehensive web-based asset map with information on the state’s agbioscience, agribusiness and healthcare industries. The Asset Portal combines years of industry data into a single, searchable resource intended to help interested parties understand, strategize, forecast and identify opportunities within Iowa’s key industries for economic growth. All data is free to the public and is searchable at the statewide, regional and county levels.
The Asset Mapping Portal allows a user to visualize and query the information by different types of geography including city, zip code, county and IEDA Regions. A user is also able to query specific attributes associated with specific variables in the Asset Portal.
