The One Health Biomanufacturing Summit is for professionals involved in development and production of bio-based goods and services for the benefit of people, animals and the environment. Registration opens at 7:30am, with a networking breakfast held through 8:30am. Podium and panel presentations continue throughout the day, concluding with a networking reception from 3:30pm-5pm.

The event will appeal to a broad audience of senior level industry professionals working within life sciences, manufacturing, process development and product operations, as well as civic leaders and educational professionals interested in the life sciences.

Speakers include:

• Michael James, Plant Manager at SAFC will kick off the 2013 One Health Summit at 8:30am. In 2012 James expanded production at SAFC to an all-time high for the company, addressing production and scheduling challenges to meet customer needs.
• Dr. Nick Franano, CEO, Novita Therapeutics. In a short time, Novita has already formed three companies. Hear about Franano's golden touch with start-ups, including an update on his former start-up, Proteon Theraputics.
• David Alburty, CEO, AlburtyLab and InnovaPrep. With twenty years' experience in aerosol research and biodefense, Alburty's work at MRIGlobal and AlburtyLab, naturally led to the formation of InnovaPrep, the Macro to Micro Interface company.
• John Bucksath, CEO, ABC Laboratories. After two decades in the CRO industry with a focus on continuous improvement, quality management and innovation, Bucksath focuses on creating a transforming culture where science and business come together to create value.
• Bill Berkley, CEO, Tension Corporation. A fourth generation leader of a 115 year old company with 12 manufacturing plants and 40 sales offices, Berkley is on the boards of directors for Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute and Chairman of the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City, where he leads an initiative to spur life science collaboration in the Midwest.
