Since 1994, the Iowa Biotechnology Association has provided benefits and services to promote the interests and growth of the life sciences industries in Iowa. We are a non-profit, membership-based organization with a diversified membership including industry companies from all segments of biotechnology, universities & colleges, state & federal associations, as well as numerous service & support companies. Our Association seeks to promote the success and growth of biotech-based business in Iowa, ultimately securing our strong biotech economy while growing our business & increasing our influence nationally and around the globe.
Monthly Newsletters are distributed to inform members of recent developments in the core areas, upcoming industry events, relevant issues, member successes, economic development opportunities & legislative activity during session.
In 2015, IowaBio completed two asset mapping projects to help others discover the biotech talent located in Iowa and the Midwest.
Iowa Ag/Bioscience Asset Database
The Iowa Ag/Bioscience Asset Database is a comprehensive reference database for the state’s agbioscience, agribusiness and healthcare industries. The product of five entities with vested interests in understanding and growing Iowa’s bioeconomy, the Iowa Ag/Bioscience Asset Database combines years of industry data into a single, searchable resource intended to help interested parties understand, strategize, forecast and identify opportunities within Iowa’s key industries for economic growth.
Heartland Civic Collaborative Life Science Database
This database was a collaborative effort between four biotech associations in the Midwest. It contains nearly 800 life science companies within Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri along with their locations, websites, industry segments and more. IowaBio is hosting its 2016 Annual Golf Outing on Thursday, June 2nd at The Legacy Golf Club in Norwalk, Iowa. Following the Outing, IowaBio will host its Annual Board Meeting, which is open to all IowaBio members.
